A new era began in 1988. Schwarzwald Abbund gained a "new lease of life" with the purchase of the P8 timber framing machine which was revolutionary at the time and set the course for the future. Quality before quantity - timber framing solely for carpenters and timber house builders and no self assembly is the motto of Schwarzwald  Abbund - from the very first day to the present.

We now specialise in timber framing and prefabricated construction and this, along with structural changes and demands, prompted us to close down our sawmill and purchase our timber only from specialised and efficient sawmills in the Black Forest.

On 29. August 2008 we celebrated, together with our employees and customers, the inauguration of the new hall, the 20th anniversary of Schwarzwald Abbund and 135 years of family business.
